This datasheet must have returned to us by e-mail or by mail (access by the button this below). After reading we make a commitment to answer you in 4 days. If your candidacy is retained, for what we hope wholeheartedly, you will receive by e-mail a " green light"( approval) registration". We shall indicate you then the procedure for a definitive registration.

Regulation and prevention GTJ 200

 

 

Definition of event

The GTJ 200 is under the auspices of the International Ski Federation and under sports authority of the Regional Committee Skiing the Jura mountains, delegate of the French Ski Federation.

It is registered at the regional calendar (Comité Régional du Massif Ski Jura)

 

Organization

The GTJ 200 is organized by the association LWG 200 itself, association law 1901 official organizer, manages, coordinates and controls the administrative, technical and sporting the event. Full articles of association can be found at the headquarters in Villers le Lac.

 

Specifications

The GTJ 200 is only short skating, team 2 (women or men) for each team with a person designated in advance as "personal assistance". This person is part of the team, she alone (except those related to the organization) the burden of monitoring of its riders throughout the race and especially to be present on fueling areas allowed for this race.

 

To test Type : Long distance running

 

Running of the event 

Friday, March 6 : Prologue 10 km on a loop with a departure every 30 s

First departure 4:00 p.m. (Giron-Giron) Team 2 (arrival and departure 2)

Time of the prologue will be added to that of the LWG 190 for establishing a final general classification.

 

Saturday, March 7 : Check online at 4:00 am Giron (Ain 01) for crossing the Jura Mountains on the route marked the LWG for a distance of 190km with an elevation of 4400 D + and arrived at the village of Chauffaud (Doubs 25)

 

Personal assistance 

Only one person per team will be designated as the entry "personal assistance"

However, in case of force majeure, injury, falls, and other situations that put the team or one of its members threatens the assistant subject can inform the organization to be replaced during the race by a third person (this person must at this point absolutely take the chasuble numbered corresponding to the appropriate team).

 

The role of personal assistance is multiple :

 

  • follow the team throughout the course by visiting systematically refueling points allowed in order to supply them with food and liquid, can provide their equipment and quickly dry clothes, provide information that could assist in their progression, also assess their level of physical and mental fatigue.

  • If necessary contact by phone with his runners to anticipate their needs (dehydration, craving, hardware problem, cooling, fall ... etc) by providing moral support.

  • Prevent in time the organization in case of problems.

  • Keep calm and keep quiet especially during night periods crossings village.

  • Respect the rules of the road and parking areas on supplies.

  • It will also have a preventive role in the road passes through villages and (Lajoux, Canopies Joux New Hospitals) and safety in addition to the system put in place by the organization.

 

The race 

The route of the GTJ is fully signposted at 1 tag (on average) every 150 meters (wooden pole 2 meters high with a strong orange square GTJ)

The course is laid out on 182kms by snowcats. Tracing is stopped at km 131 at the crossing of the village of Hôpitaux Neufs 800 meters and 153 km (after the place called "Le Tillau") for narrow and steep descent may in certain condition requiring a heaving up Verrières de Joux.

 

Depending on snow conditions you may have to cross and thus bare thirty times on the entire route, the roads are always slippery at this time of the year and skating shoes are not known for their adhesion it is your responsibility to be especially careful at these crossings and we strongly advise you to follow these instructions :

 

 

  • a safety device will be set up on each road crossing but it is your responsibility to control your speed when approaching it by anticipating braking. These crossings will be secured by volunteers and strengthen with lighted signage.

 

  • The descent Le Tillau-Verrières (night for some team) to 153 km will be down with the utmost caution, again the security will be enhanced by lighted signage and volunteers in place.

 

  •  All Nordic areas will be mobilized traversed one after the other to react in case of problems, each Nordic area has its own organization Capable of trackers and rescuers equipped snowmobile and containers approved for the transport of wounded. Intervene in a few minutes they will be in case of problems in connection with the fire department, gendarmerie and PGM de Morez. To ensure safety and to gain autonomy teams of two doctors, two ambulances, two trackers rescuer snowmobile will be added to this device and follow the race as close runners to the finish.

 

  • 3 members of each team will be required to have with them and throughout the duration of the competition with a mobile phone numbers in memory of two members of his team and the numbers of PC security, race director and doctor follower (these numbers will be communicated by email to each team a week before the start of the event)

 

  • A team (greenhouse wire) close the track staying immediately behind the last team and the start to the finish of the race. This team (minimum 2 people) will be equipped with several phones and HF radios, will have numbers on paper PC race and race director, the head of each Nordic area crossed followers doctors, all the competitors as well as those their personal assistance

 

  • Personal assistance will be required to wear a chasuble (provided by the organization) from the beginning to the end of the test.

  

Required equipment 

GTJ 190 runners

 

  • a blanket

  • backpack (required)

  • a supply of water 1 liter

  • a whistle

  • a buff

  • food reserves

  • a pair of block and a sub-layer technique with long sleeves

  • photocopy of passport or identity card valid

  • charge ski valid background

  • a front for Ultra 100 lumens minimum with extra batteries

  • élastoplasme a band (minimum "3cm x 80cm)

  • waterproof jacket gore-tex-type or induction for supporting the bad weather in the mountains

  • list of emergency numbers (zone by zone) and maps of protected sites crossings (Natura 2000) list provided by the organization

  • A cell phone

 

For personal assistance

  • list of emergency numbers (zone by zone) and maps of protected areas crossed (Natura 2000) + mobile phone numbers of his teammates.

  • numbered chasuble (provided by the organization)

  • a mobile phone

  • a map with the route of the race and the supply points allowed (not supplied)

  • the road book (provided by the organization)

 

All items listed (except front) must, including mittens, buff and sub-layer technique, be placed in the backpack at the time of departure and in addition to clothing and equipment already-worn.

This compulsory equipment must be worn from the beginning to the end of the race under penalty.

 

Systematic monitoring of bags will be made Friday, March 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the bibs and the morning from the LWG 190 per lot. During the crossing and the arrival of controls may be established by the organization.

 

Any breach of these rules will result in time penalties are:

  • no-blanket (3:00 penalty)

  • no water reserve (3:00)

  • no waterproof jacket (3:00)

  • no backpack (throughout the race or in part) disqualification of the team

  • missing 1 item (except the backpack, the water supply, the blanket) 1:00

 

Hourly barriers

The maximum running time for performing the GTJ is 8:00 p.m.

3 hours barriers will be implemented :

  • Bois D'Amont 60 kms : last departure 9:30

  • Métabief 128 kms : last departure 5:00 p.m.

  • Verrieres de Joux 155 kms : last departure 8:00 p.m.

 

The Capacities

Personal assistance will be able to supply their riders at specific locations, they will in no case (except in the guise of the organization and its representatives in the following cases: injury, breaking equipment, weather conditions and other reasons could endanger people) to support their team in unauthorized areas under penalty of disqualification

For reasons of time important path for personal assistance (change of valley) there will be no authorized in Chapelle des Bois supplies. However, riders will be able to get water through the establishment of a water held by the organization. This waterhole be held in the village, the start of cross-Chapelle des Bois.

 

At kilometer 102 (a place called Chez LIADET) riders will have the opportunity to take a hot meal PLATE MINUTE 'provided by the organization.

 

The lap at Bois D'Amont

The two members of each team are required to attend all the entrance of Bois D'Amont.

Under the arch, one possibility is given to one of the riders to have a rest (stop about forty seconds) while teammate performs a lap of honor ( ring 400 additional meters plot GTJ)

The lap begins immediately after the arch back on itself. After completing this lap 2 teammates leave all by taking the route of the GTJ.

 

Ranking

At the end of the event A cumulative ranking (prologue + GTJ 190) time will be determined by a final general classification and a separate ranking woman and man joint.

 

Change, time barriers, cancellation

For security reasons related to weather, lack of snow, heavy snowfall, cold, wind, rain and other conditions and situations that may endanger competitors, their assistaces and all persons concerned with the organization, GTJ 200 reserves the right to shorten the route, to change the time restrictions or cancel the race.

 

In case of cancellation of the race and bearing the expense engage GTJ 200 allows itself the right to charge the amount of 40,00 € per team on € 200.00 initially incurred.

 

The GTJ 200 is on the agenda of the Regional Committee in long distance races. Primarily the date for the start of the GTJ 190 is March 7 at 4:00 am However, for the same reasons mentioned above the organization reserves the Right back or forward the start.

 

Image rights

The contestant gives the organization a tacit able to use any photos or pictures depicting.

 

Ethics course: eco - citizenship

The runner is committed to preserving nature and do not dispose of waste throughout the course. The waste can be disposed at various checkpoints in the containers provided. If a rider is caught throwing a package, product or object likely to pollute the environment deliberately, he will be disqualified. The race is part of an eco-ethics and citizenship wishes to make every effort to improve the environment and respect.

 

Abandonment and special case

Except for injury, a rider must not abandon other than on a checkpoint or refueling

He must notify his personal assistance and the organization.

If a rider or team decides to leave after invalidated his number and wants to stay on the course, he does so under his own responsibility and shall in no event be covered by the organization.

Only a full team can be classified, in the event that one of the competitors of a team decides to give his teammate the opportunity (provided only to have accused the organization and that authorization is given to him) to continue alone and keep his number to the finish but it will in no case be included in the final classification.

 

Acceptance of the rules

With registration, the participant :

  • unreservedly accepts this Regulation and Ethics course

  • undertakes to follow the planned route (presence of controllers on the whole route)

  • agrees to give his number in case of abandonment to a controller or rescuer

  • agrees to comply strictly with the layout of the LWG and all present

  • undertakes not to enneiger roads during its passage and in no way get help in his movements (the strings pulled by elastic system and are prohibited)

     

Any breach of any of these rules will result in a time penalty or disqualification participant decision of the organizing committee.

A pre-registration form will be required for all teams and a questionnaire that will allow the organization to judge the level of each competitor. After study, a green light will be given entry (or not depending on the level and experience of the candidates). A maximum of 80 teams (160 competitors will be allowed to participate in this event)
